1. Calgary Zoo
The Calgary Zoo offers some unique experiences for the birthday person in your life. Imagine a birthday sleepover at the Zoo, next to a hippopotamus, with 10 of your closest friends, or a specialized theme party for your child’s age group next to some exotic animals. 2. Corn Mazes
Two amazing corn mazes located in the Calgary area!
Calgary Corn Maze
The Calgary Corn Maze at 284022 Township Road 224, just outside of SE Calgary is a terrific change of pace for party planners. It is a completely outdoor setting so keep in mind that can be tedious to book around our ever-changing weather. However, if you are able to make it work there are so many different and unique things to do such as:
- A) Calgary Corn Maze Railway – Hop on a miniature railroad and take a ride around the farm and learn all about the history.
- B) Jumping Pillows – Each one is bigger than most houses and can definitely bring the kid out in any person of any age.
- C) Potato Sack Slide – 80 feet long and three lanes wide.
- D) Zip Lines – 150 long, all ages welcome.
- E) Low Ropes Course – 8 excellent obstacles for all ages.
- F) Mini Golf – 18 holes farm-themed fun.
You will definitely get your money’s worth. Remember that you can use up an entire day to get through all of the activities which is nice if you would like a longer party. They offer a variety of non-covered picnic tables and they are on a first come first serve basis, or book your party directly for economical rates.
Cobb’s Adventure Park & Corn Maze
The Cobb’s Adventure Park & Corn Maze NE Calgary 1500 84th Street NE is another unique corn maze outdoor party extravaganza! There is so much to do here and the vibe is amazing. The beautiful sunshine and blue sky set against the green corn in the summer, or the yellow corn in the fall (my favorite) is an amazing addition to your party. The sights and sounds make up half of the fun!
Petting Zoo, Corn Mazes & Games, 3 Little Pigs, Blacklight Minigolf, Climbing Wall, Euro Bungy, Spider Climb, Blaster Balls, Ropes Course, Fun Balls, Bouncy World, & Archery Tag are just some of the amazing things to do at this fun packed place!

3. Recreation Centres
Rec Centres are a great way to go when booking a child’s birthday party. Who doesn’t love swimming for hours in a giant wave pool, careening down the water slides, or even lounging in the hot tub. Below are the recreation centers that we recommend.

The Trico centre has been recently renovated and is a beautiful venue for a party. It is easy to access just off of Anderson and Bonaventure Drive and comes with a giant wave pool, waterslide, diving tank, hot tub and sauna.

West Side Rec
This is a gigantic facility and has something for everyone! Comes with a giant wave pool, diving tank, waterslide and hot tub. Also included in the price of admission is a running track, weight room, even a seasonal ice skating (rollerskating/in-line skating in the summer). This is a beautiful venue for a party, so book well in advance!
4. Calaway Park
Good ‘ol classic Calaway Park, the place to go for all Calgary & area kids to go for their end of school outing, birthday parties, or just for fun during the summer.
