How much space do mascots need?
Most mascots require open space to move around freely without obstructions. If the event space is crowded, the handler will help manage interactions to prevent congestion. Some Mascots are larger than others, so make sure you prepare the space for the size of mascot you choose.
Can we take photos with the mascots?
Absolutely! Photo opportunities are a big part of the experience. If you’d like a designated photo-op area, let us know, and we can help arrange it.
Are there any event conditions that could affect a mascot’s performance?
Yes, mascots are large, heavily padded costumes, so we need to consider the following: Outdoor Events: If temperatures are too hot or too cold, mascots may require extra breaks or shade. Can mascots talk?
Most mascots do not speak to maintain the illusion of the character. Instead, they communicate through gestures, body language, and playful interactions. However, if a speaking character is required, let us know—we may have options!
How long can the mascot perform at a time?
Due to the nature of mascot costumes, Mascot sets typically run in 30-45 minute intervals each hour with short breaks in between, costume dependant. If the event is indoors and well-ventilated, some mascots may last longer before requiring a break.
Do mascots require a green room or private changing area?
Yes, we require a private changing area (not a public restroom) for the mascot performer to suit up, take breaks, and cool down if needed. This should be a clean, secure space with a chair and access to water.
Can we provide our own volunteer as a mascot handler?
Yes, in most cases! If you choose to provide your own volunteer, they must read our guide on how to assist a mascot to ensure they understand their role in keeping the performance smooth and safe.
