Merfolk Living Statue FAQs
They typically appear in 45-minute sets with short breaks in between, or in hour-long sessions depending on the booking. For multi-hour events, breaks are scheduled discreetly to maintain the illusion. The performance is especially effective when paired with ambient lighting or themed music, creating a striking presence for photo ops and dramatic entrances.
Since these are painted costumes, they’re designed for dry spaces, but they can be positioned near water features like fountains or pools, as long as there’s no risk of slipping or splashing on the costume. Just ask us about placement recommendations!
Absolutely! Our Merpeople can be positioned on a custom platform, clamshell seat, faux rock, or elevated pedestal to enhance their visual impact. We also offer a basic silver half-barrel podium as a standard setup. For a more dramatic effect, you can upgrade to our aerial anchor display, which allows them to be suspended from the ceiling or one of our freestanding aerial rigs. Yes. In subtle and magical ways. While they maintain the illusion of a living statue, they may blink, shift, gesture slowly, or hold eye contact for a surreal, immersive moment.
Due to their realistic mermaid fins, our Merpeople cannot walk while in costume. If they need to arrive or leave mid-event, they’ll require assistance, typically a team member or cart to transport them between the green room and performance area. They will also need a private space to change before and after their appearance.
