The Cameraman
He’s always way too close for comfort and never quite points the lens where you’d expect. One moment he’s zoomed in on your shoes, the next he’s crouched on the floor for a dramatic low-angle shot. His chaotic style makes every guest feel like the star of a breaking news scoop. And, of course, after all that… you realise he left the lens cap on!
The Reporter
Sharp suit, sharper questions. The over-the-top reporter delivers the juiciest “exclusives” with dramatic flair. Expect outrageous questions, exaggerated reactions, and the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for front-page scandals. He’ll have your guests laughing, blushing, and playing along in no time.
The Boom Mic Operator
Watch your head! With a microphone that always seems to bop into the shot (and occasionally into people), this clumsy but loveable character adds slapstick comedy to every scene. He’s convinced he’s essential to the broadcast — even if he never quite stays out of the way.

Our team sets up at the entrance (or they could rove around the event) and greets them with a faux “breaking news” vibe. Guests are asked funny, outlandish, or lighthearted questions that get people laughing right away and set the mood for the night.
Absolutely! We can capture the interviews on camera to create a highlight reel for you and your guests. This can be a fantastic keepsake or a shareable social media video after the event.
Yes! We can customise questions to suit your theme, industry, or even include inside jokes that your team will appreciate. It makes the experience feel personal and on-brand.
We keep the comedy lighthearted and suitable for your audience. If your event is family-friendly, we’ll keep it clean. If you’d like a bit more cheeky or edgy humour for an adult crowd, we can adjust accordingly.
Typically, the Fake News Team includes 3 entertainers, a reporter, a cameraman, and a boom-mic operator for maximum comedic effect. However, we can add additional Paparazzi Photographers if you would like us to have an even larger impact.
No problem. We will simply move on with a smile. The goal is to enhance the atmosphere, not make anyone uncomfortable.
We book a minimum of two Paparazzi Photographers to create the authentic red-carpet buzz. If you’d like to make an even bigger impact, we can add additional photographers to really turn up the energy. For a more dynamic experience, we can also pair the Paparazzi with our Fake News Team-interviewers who mingle with guests, ask outrageous questions, and round out the feel of a full media frenzy.
