Pixel Art – Stop Motion Balloon Mario

About 6 months ago I started launching a new project called ‘Pixel Art Balloon Walls’, it started because I wanted to build artwork that was in line with something I had an interest in.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE entertaining as well as the challenge of building sculptress for the requests my clients, however, this Pixel Art Balloon artwork was just for me…  at the time ;)

If this is the first time you have seen my Pixel Art Balloon Walls, to give you an idea of what the concept is, I take suggestions of 8-bit video game characters (or any character for that matter) from you guys through email, phone, text, Face Book, You Tube, etc. and then build it over 8 feet tall in a pixel art form out of balloons.  Here are a few of them below…

Legend of Zelda - 8bit Link Despicable Me - Minion Phineas and Ferb - Perry the Platypus Iron Man - Iron Man

But over the last few months, I have had fun and enjoyed being able to share my creations with the world as well as take a suggestion and then build them for everyone’s viewing.  So far I have been able to share over 25 of these creations ever Friday, with more to come!  If you enjoy them, please follow us on Facebook you can see them upon release and please feel free to comment to let me know what you want to see next!

To answer your questions… Yes this does make a huge mess!  But it’s great for my neighbors, they get free party balloons at the end of each wall!… Or sometimes it ends up in tragedy!

That brings me to the reason why I am making this blog.  One of my all time favorite video games have been the Super Mario series, so I thought I’d do something special for it and for you guys who have been following my artwork, just click on the picture below… (or click here for YouTube link)

Hope you have enjoyed another piece of my artwork, there are lots more to come!  In the mean time, check out some of the other Pixel Art Balloon Walls I have built on our Facebook Page, just click here.

Thank you,

Tristan Court
